Two Futures of Cambridge
I am running for re-election to the Cambridge City Council because I believe that we must do more to preserve the communities of Cambridge from displacement caused by development. Affordability has become a crisis for the residents of Cambridge. There are two visions of the future of our city. One vision is of high tech luxury skyscrapers where only the rich can afford to live. The second is one where communities thrive and residents can afford to raise a family, run a small business and not be forced out of the city. I strongly believe in the second vision and am uniquely qualified to advocate for those communities by finding development solutions which enhance the community, not overwhelm it. I need your support to continue to "Plan for the People.
I have spent my time on the Council working to improve the way that we manage development in the city. We cannot expect development companies to create a community-focused Cambridge, it isn't their job. It is the job of the City Council. Without a significant change in the way that we manage development, we risk losing the Cambridge that we love.
On this site, I have laid out my plans for Cambridge and why I am uniquely qualified to lead these efforts on the Council. I need your help to continue advocating for community-focused development.
