July Campaign Update

It's been one month since our official campaign kick-off and I wanted to use my first campaign blog post to update you on the progress we’ve made and to invite you to personally join our efforts.

-I have submitted my nomination petition with 68 signatures and am now officially on the ballot for the November 7th municipal election. Thank you to everyone who signed.

-Over 50 of our closest supporters attended our June 18th kickoff event at ZuZu’s in Central Square.

-Attendees included my colleague, City Councilor Nadeem Mazen, and my former aide turned star State Representative, Mike Connolly whose inspiring words you witnessed. I am proud to have their support.

-Our new campaign manager, Andrew Smith, has shifted from part-time to full-time. A political science graduate of Boston University, he brings with him extensive field experience on judicial, state representative, and city council campaigns from his hometown of Dallas, TX. We’re glad to have him on board and I know he is excited to be joining the Cambridge community.

-With your help and contributions, we have raised just over $12,000 in new funds since June. This puts us over a third of the way towards meeting our fundraising goal. I am deeply grateful for your generosity.

-We have started knocking on doors and bringing our progressive message of a welcoming, equitable, and sustainable Cambridge directly to the people. Most people we reach are eager to talk and respond favorably to our message, achievements, and goals.

Ways you can help:

1) Join our grassroots outreach efforts, knock on doors and making phone calls to voters. Please call 617-682-0657 or email DennisCarloneForCityCouncil@gmail.com to sign up or learn about more ways to get involved.

2) Like and follow the campaign on Facebook. Please share our page and posts with your network. https://www.facebook.com/CarloneReelect/

3) If you haven’t already, please donate whatever amount you can by visiting our ActBlue Page. https://secure.actblue.com/donate/dennis-carlone-1

4) Please continue to spread the word to your family and neighbors in Cambridge. Nothing strengthens our message and gets out the vote like your personal recommendation.

Again, thank you for your continued support. Let’s keep the momentum going!

Best regards,

Dennis
